Welcome to Sturford Mead Farm Bed and Breakfast Est 1985 Self Catering Est 1994. We extend a warm welcome to visitors from near and far, old and new. A traditional Bed and breakfast with alternative self catering, in a beautiful rural setting at the foot of Cley Hill bordering the Longleat Estate. Sturford Mead Farm, was itself once part of Lord Bath's Longleate Estate, and he spent much of his time hear with his Nanny Marks who lived in half the Farm House. Cley Hill with it’s Iron age fortifications is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Western end of Cranborne chase. In the 1960’s Cley Hill was for famous UFO activity making it the Uk's UFO capital, and today crop circles still occassionally appear in the area. Our guests can regularly witness a variety of wildlife, which includes deer, pheasants, partridge, woodpeckers and bats. We are so close to Longleat that we often hear Lions roar, and Sea Lions bark . Among our guests, we have been very pleased to welcome Ben Fogle and Kate Humble, presenters of the popular Animal Park series.
